TIP #1 - FULLY UNDERSTAND YOUR CAMERA THOROUGHLY
While it may appear apparent, the majority of digital camera users usually do not understand their camera capabilities and what the camera can do. Whether it is simply because the user did not read the user's guide or asking the wrong individual for guidance, or maybe not using the camera as frequently as they can, the end result will be the same, the owner will not realize what the camera can accomplish.

By understanding what each and every button of your camera does and how it affects the photograph, you can have fantastic photos even with the most basic camera.
Just as you have to learn your camera's key features, you must also know its restrictions. Most lower-end, full-automatic cameras just tend not to have the flexibility to capture rapid actions, for instance. You must use your camera often to find out its limitations.
TIP # 2 - STICK TO THE FOUNDATIONS
Photography is about how light is harnessed on a subject or scene. It’s not about what camera or other tools. So long as you have good fundamentals in photography, the camera you carry has less influence to your photographs. Observe the light and understand how light is falling on a area and how it influences the photo.
Composition - Learn basics such as where to position subject, spotting distracting backdrops, using prominent lines, exploring for different angles are simple items to keep in mind that should become second nature as your photographic knowledge grow.
Those basic tips will get you in front of most other photographers.
TIP # 3 - DON’T BE LAZY!
Photography needs effort, at least if you want your photos to get noticed.
Exciting photographs are a result of images you don’t usually see with your own eyes. Most men and women are between 5 to 6 feet in height, and if you keep taking photos at that level, you won't see anything fresh as opposed to looking at the world with your bare eyes. You have access to three dimensions when you’re taking pictures, use it to your advantage.
Aim your camera upwards, down, kneel, lie prone, on your back, do whatever BUT shoot from eye level whenever possible.
TIP # 4 -DON’T BE A PART OF A HERD
If everyone is shooting the same landscape, it’ll be challenging to get anything special.
If you're looking at a well-known tourist area, walk to a location where there aren't a lot of people standing around, you're sure to have a more exciting photo than the regular photo spot.
TIP # 5 - GET OUT AND SHOOT!
You can read all the textbooks, articles or blog posts, discussion boards you want, even attend workshops, but until you get out and try what you’ve learned again and again, you’ll never develop your skills.
Always keep in mind that a camera cannot take a photo on it's own, unless you keep shooting, your photographs won't improve. Equipped with the right base of skill sets, you too can take amazing photos regardless of what camera you use.
